While some may say a bowl of leftover frosting is *NOT* a problem, when you bake cupcakes on a pretty regular basis, you’re bound to be in frosting overload.
While sitting down to a rom-com movie with a spoon and a bowl of frosting does sound like a winning combination, what if you want to share your overabundance or save it for later?
Don’t toss that buttercream! It will remain good in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. Alternatively, put it in an airtight container and freeze it up to 3 months. When ready to use again, take out of the freezer and place in the refrigerator overnight to thaw.
